CAROL STREAM, Ill. (AP) — Suburban Chicago police fatally shot a man Saturday morning while responding to a domestic violence incident, but the circumstances leading to the shooting remain unclear.
The Carol Stream Police Department said on its Facebook page that officers “encountered a tense, uncertain, and rapidly evolving situation, which resulted in officers discharging their weapons at the alleged domestic violence suspect.”
Authorities said the suspect was shot and critically injured. He was pronounced dead at a hospital.
